The ProMaster drives surprisingly well for such a large vehicle. It accelerates well, even when loaded with cargo. We're confident the new nine-speed transmission added this year would improve drivability. The available technology and driver-assist features should make working with the ProMaster simpler and more enjoyable. Ram says the front-drive configuration was chosen to enable a lower load floor; there's no rear-drive componentry taking up precious cargo space. Indeed, the ProMaster has a vast cargo hold, effectively supporting its commercial mission.
